STORY

Monastic production in the Northern Ural

The production of Pine Cone Syrup is based in ecologically clean region in Northen Urals (Verkhotursk district, Russian Federation).

Pine Cone Syrup is a special combination of natural resources of the Northern Urals and the work of the monastic brethren, modern production technologies and old recipes of cooking tasty and healthy products.

The monks of Svyato-Kosminskaya Pustyn male monastery in a small Kostyleva village are are engaged in the whole production process from raw materials preparation to quality control.

The idea of making syrup from pine cones arose from a monk of the Svyato-Kosminskaya Pustyn after he had visited Mount Athos in Greece: where in one of monasteries he was treated to a delicacy - chestnut jam. The monk decided to make something similar using available ingredients in Russia.


All the products are manufactured in accordance with the requirements of Food Safety Management System GOST R ISO 22000- 2007 (ISO 22000:2005), including the principles of international quality management system HACCP.
